Electricity runs along Portland Road just to the east, so building a home or cabin on the land is not out of the question. The abundant deer population of the area makes for great hunting, and the farm is very strategically located in between several larger bodies of water connected by drainage ditches and sloughs, meaning ducks fly the area regularly, and with a little vision and work, there could be a productive duck hole. Doves also frequent the area, feeding in fields throughout the river bottoms, producing thrilling shoots each September.
