Living in California and trying to find land in Missouri was a bit challenging to say the least. I had talked with many different agents and hardly heard back from them. Working with Mitch Newcomer at Midwest Land Group was a seamless process while buying a farm in northern Missouri. Since I live out of state, Mitch was very accommodating to show us the farm that fit my family's schedule. I was able to have my questions answered to ensure me that this particular property was right for my family.
My family, as well as myself, are passionate about hunting, so I was glad to hear Mitch also shared that passion as we spent several hours driving the property in his UTV. As well as discussing different hunting set ups for the farm, we also talked about the income that the farm produces. That was also an important aspect to my decision to purchase. I recently sold my house with some property. After my first realtor wiled away a year doing nothing I decided to find someone new. Jake Fowler with Midwest Land Group was recommended by some family friends. I was a bit hesitant as the realtor fee was a bit more than most I've seen or were told about. My fears were quickly put to rest, within days of taking over Jake had my listing posted online in multiple places, pamphlets made and within the first few weeks was already getting requests for showings. In the end I believe it took 60-90 days to sell my property, and I could not be more happy. Jake was great with keeping in touch with me, which was nice as a first time home seller, he was always available to answer my questions or return a call. My wife Carol and I could not have imagined a more positive experience with Midwest Land Group agent Sam Vedvei when it came time to sell her family’s land in Spink County, South Dakota. My wife and her sister recently contacted Sam Vedvei, land agent with Midwest Land Group, to have him sell their 160 acres of farmland near Doland, South Dakota. Sam really did his research on the land, finding comparable recent sales and provided a detailed report of soil types and the land value. After agreeing upon the selling price, Sam visited the property and took pictures and a video of the land and then put the parcel on the Midwest Land Group website. Even at this early point, Sam already had a list of potential buyers and was on the phone reaching out to them. This was on a Thursday, and by Saturday we already had two offers, one of which came in at the full sale price.

In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I was directed by my nephew to contact Andy Anderson with Midwest Land Group to help sell 110 acres that I co-owned near Hamilton Missouri. The property was mainly used for deer and turkey hunting, so we wanted to be represented by an organization that specialized in outdoor recreation. I met Kent in May to discuss the possibility of listing property that I was considering putting on the market and selling. I am the managing member of a family-owned real estate LLC. Part of the portfolio was a farm that had been in the family for over a hundred years. The decision to sell was not made lightly. Paul comes from a family that also has a century-old farm so he knew the decision was about more than just money. Unlike other brokers that I had spoken to, Paul took the time to physically tour the property. He took copious notes and spent about an hour and a half touring the 90 acres in an ATV so that he had a firm grasp on what the property could offer. I would like to say how grateful we are for Zed Goodwin. We had tried to sell our house on our own to no avail. We then ended up listing it with an agent that literally begged us to let her list our house. That experience was not a real good one. We wanted Zed to list if for us (since he was the one who found it for us years ago) but felt sorry for the other agent. However we learned our lesson and sat on it for 6 months. We then did what we wanted to from the beginning and listed it with Zed.
Zed did a wonderful job on advertising, stayed in contact with us and was upfront and honest throughout the process. When we put our house and horse property on the market, we used the "in town" realtor that found us a home closer to town. My first clue that he wasn't the best fit was when he showed up to walk the property with loafers and no socks. He did his best, but country property was not his area of expertise.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the professionalism of Mr. Andy Anderson and Midwest Land Group in assisting me to sell my land in mid-Missouri. About ten years ago, I moved from Missouri to Illinois and decided to sell some 40 acres of timberland near Sturgeon, Missouri. The land contained two stocked ponds, rolling hills and was ideal for hunting. At first I contracted with a local realtor who claimed to be an expert rural property sales, but I soon became disenchanted when he was unable to attract any offers, even after I lowered the asking price several times. Indeed, I was afraid I would never sell the property without taking a big loss on my investment.
Several years passed before I finally reached out to Andy Anderson. Andy met me in person, walked the land, did his research, and assured me that Midwest Land Group could sell the land within two months. He and his staff made a wonderful video with appealing arial photos of the land and advertised the property through myriad national outlets. Within seven weeks we had a firm offer and Andy brokered a sale that redounded in a reasonable profit. Andy explained things thoroughly, offered sage advice, and guided us through all the legal documents in an understandable way. My only regret is that I had not contacted Andy Anderson and Midwest Land Group years ago. In sum, I found Andy to very knowledgeable, engaging, dependable, honest, and hardworking.
Deciding to sell my property after 16 years was a very tough decision as so many memories were made with family and friends. I felt the property was very unique along with a great location that selling it myself might be a distinct possibility and save myself the realtor commission. After sharing my own “write up” along with a website full of pictures on facebook, emails and text groups I had quite a few bites and even showed the property several times in a very short amount of time. I was feeling pretty good that an offer would come but in the end the bites were just bites and no real offers.
While I was trying to sell it myself I interviewed several land brokers who were all excellent at their craft and represented the top names in the recreational land sales industry. Each had their strengths and weaknesses but in the end it was Shay Haddock with Midwest Land Group that really made the difference. After Shay put together the listing complete with professional drone pics and a dynamite write up, it hit the web on a Thursday afternoon. Within hours I had 4 showings set for the next 3 days! We ended up with multiple offers and sold it on Monday for more than asking price! Without Shay and Midwest Land Group I would likely still be showing it today or would have sold it for less than it was truly worth. His experience and knowledge of the market and the negotiation process really made the difference.

There were several easements and a special permit that had to be obtained prior to the sale of our property. Lindsey spent a great deal of time and effort in follow up calls and trips to the abstract office in order for us to be able to close. She without question “went the extra mile” for us. We will use Midwest Land Group and Lindsey again for any future sales.
We hired Max Farrell of the Midwest Land Group to represent us when selling our acreage in Huntsville, AR. We found Max to be very dedicated to us as sellers, and to be very upfront and honest with us on our expectations. After trying to work with several real estate agents, we are glad to have worked with Derek. We had agents not return calls, say they couldn't help us, or would call when acreage became available. One agent only showed us acreage with existing houses, and refused to assist in locating anything else. Another agent said he would be happy to show us any property when WE found it.
We saw a Midwest Land Group sign posted in front of a property we were assessing. After calling the telephone number for the listing agent, Derek called us the next day. Although that property did not work for us, Derek did not hesitate to forward multiple e-mails of available acreages listed by either MLG or other agencies. Something none of the other agents did. We requested through Derek more information regarding a larger acreage, specifically the sellers' willingness to divide the land. Throughout all transactions with the sellers' agent, Derek kept us apprised by both telephone and e-mail. Derek was always available to work around our schedule to view the land or deliver any necessary paperwork. Derek was prompt in answering any and all questions we had, and served as an intermediary between the survey company and fence installers. We were very impressed that Derek went to the property on a rainy day to meet with the fencing crew.

I have been reaping the benefits from Bryhn’s specialized knowledge of deer habitat and land development for almost a decade now.
