I met Zed several years ago when we were selling our first property in Oklahoma. It was a complicated sale, involving a survey and dividing the land. He saw it through with us with grace and expertise. So when it came time to sell our residence in Kansas, I turned to Zed. He is experienced, professional and gives wise advice, especially in negotiating with the seller and buyer. What I enjoyed most was his great sense of humor! I have had the honor of being Zed’s neighbor and friend for over 7 years while living on the east side of Coffeyville.
In 2016, I was looking for more pasture and I made contact with Zed. He had a listing that was available but was above and beyond my needs at the time. He remembered a pasture that had been listed in the past near him but wasn’t currently available. He researched both sellers, made contact, and found me the land. It was a smooth and easy transaction as the buyer because Zed was always honest and efficient, making sure I and my lender had what we needed to get the sale completed on time.
Fast forward to now, in October of 2022, I was moving out of the area and wanted to sell my home. Now, my home at the time was probably one of the most unique homes in Coffeyville (built in 1868) and I knew I would never be able to list it myself to explain all it had to offer a new buyer, but I hoped Zed could. He came over and I gave him a tour, explaining the history and when/how the property was built. He listened and asked questions, I figured he was just being neighborly. But then he took what information I gave him, did his own research, and really showed off the value of the property and all it had to offer. I was amazed by the listing and pictures he and his company did. Most of my friends said they wanted to purchase the property just because of how well written the listing was and how magnificent everything was showcased that the home and property had to offer. I never had to worry about a thing as the seller. Zed made sure it was smooth for my family and me. He addressed any concerns I had and was very quick at answering any of my questions. My home wasn’t even on the market for 30 days and I received a written offer. Even more than that, we closed before the contract's end date! I cannot express my gratitude to him or his family enough for how simple and timely he made this process.

Our journey started with Zed September 21st. My wife and I wanted to look at a house. I made the phone call to him that Saturday and he picked up even though he was spending time with his family on a little weekend getaway. We set an appointment and had to adjust schedules a few times, he was very accommodating. One of the nicest, non-pushy, accommodating Realtors we had ever met. At that time we couldn't see the potential in that property so we moved on. He showed us other properties and we visited other houses quite a bit. He was always very nice and very informative no matter the situation or question. Months later, we turned full circle and made an offer on the very first property he showed us. We just closed on our house December 20th and I do feel like we have Zed to thank for everything. My wife and I I hope never to move again. But I'm telling you if we do, Zed will be our realtor.
I would like to say how grateful we are for Zed Goodwin. We had tried to sell our house on our own to no avail. We then ended up listing it with an agent that literally begged us to let her list our house. That experience was not a real good one. We wanted Zed to list if for us (since he was the one who found it for us years ago) but felt sorry for the other agent. However we learned our lesson and sat on it for 6 months. We then did what we wanted to from the beginning and listed it with Zed.
Zed did a wonderful job on advertising, stayed in contact with us and was upfront and honest throughout the process. He literally had a contract on our place within 2 weeks and was able to get what we were asking! Zed cares about his clients and sees the place through their eyes. He notices all the pros about your property and uses it to your advantage through his advertisement. We will never use another realtor if and when we decide to purchase another home and will always recommend him to anyone who is asking. Zed makes you feel like family and we will always be grateful for this young man.
Zed took us all over Eastern Kansas helping us find the perfect property. We relocated from Denver and it was difficult for us to decide on what was truely important in the land and house. We used Zane and Zed to both find and sell a terrific Kansas deer property. Timing may be everything but they offered a written offer within 4 hours of our first conversation about selling. Can't say if they did a better job on finding the property initially or the quick sale. Out of gratitude for the business, they gave me the safety harness that saved my life this past year. They are good folks and willing to help after the purchase. Set up game cameras, ordered feeders, etc. Can't say enough!
Zed, I saw your name this morning and just thought I would drop you a note. The property we bought in Garnett has been perfect for our family, just wanted to say thank you for your part in our purchase. My 17 year old son Jared and I just did our hunter safety and look forward to hunting on our own land. Neither one of us have hunted before so we will see how it goes.
